Hey everyone. Just a mini update today. I wrote an entire post that took me 30 minutes the other night but then LJ crashed and it was lost. grrrr. Anyways I spent last night in Cuneo at Valentina's with our friends. (On the weekend I was here for 2 nights as well, but ou will hear more about that in my next post soon to come). Today Vale and I are heading out to see some Medieval towns here around Cuneo (Cuneo is located at the base of the French Alps. We are literally 30 minutes away from the France border). Tonight We are going out with her friends and I will spend one last night here. Tomorrow I will go to Torino with Vale where I will say goodbye to her since due to my busy travelling schedual and her concert schedual we will not get another chance to see each other. This is going to be quite hard for the both of us, but we'll keep in touch for sure. So that's about it. I'll lend more details in my upcomming post, probobly tomorrow. Thanks for reading!

Let's get right to it! Last monday in Gattinara started off a little crappy when I woke up with pains in my kidneys and difficulties breathing. After a while, I started to feel better, so I went with Erica and Paulo to look for suit for his graduation. Tuesday afternoon we went back to Torino and went to Erica's department so she could help some of her friends study for an Exam. While talking to Valentina and Loretta, Valentina invited me to come with them on their last Geology fieldtrip in buossolenno so I accepted! After leaving the department, Erica and I went for Gelato, then back home and took it easy.

Wednesday I woke up around 6:30 and got ready and headed to the train station to meet Valentina. Her, Ivan and myself took the train to buossonlenno. When we arrived we waited for Allessandro and Loretta to arrive, then we headed up into the mountains. It was fun. It was quite hot and dry out, but it was a good time. They are all amazing people!! Around 2:30 they were all finished with their work, so we headed back down into town and got some Gelato, then they took me to this small park that had waterfalls, a small man made river, and ropes and footholds alon the rock faced over the river, so we did some climbing on the small cliff faces :) It was pretty cool! After that Allessandro dropped Valentina and I off at the train station. The train was a good 45 minutes off, so we walked around the town for a bit. Then we caught the train home, I went back to the apartment, chilled out for awhile, then around 1:00 after Erica went to bed, I stayed up and watched UFC 73 which I downloaded.
Thursday during the daytime was relaxing. I went with Erica to put some posters up. Then afterwards we came back and got ready to go out for Dinner with all the people going on the Turkey trip. We went to a very nice turkish resturant, and I had Kebap and Riso in a vegitable sauce, and for drink I had this thing called Mastaw which is Yogurt, Water, Mint and Salt. It was different but good! After that we went for Gelato and walked around a bit then headed home.
Friday was a lazy day. Erica went to the Sea with Stephano again, and I stayed around with the roomates. We did some cleaning, then I went out to buy some groceries and such. Got back, went to Jiu-Jitsu, came back, had some Pizzas with the roomates, then eventually went to bed.
Saturday morning, Erica and I caught the 7:50 train to Gattinara. When we got back, she did some work while I took a nap. As nighttime rolled around, we got ready to go up to the Alpa festival in Varallo which is up in the mountains in Valsesia. We picked up Paulo and his friend, then headed up. It was pretty awesome lol. I had three glasses of Grappa (A Homemade 50% alcohol made in the mountains) and 2 Sangarias (Wine mixed with fruit and other mixes). After those, I was pretty drunk lol We walked around for awhile, then after Erica got me to get a sandwich to get something on my stomach lol, it was yummy. After a very stumbly walk back to the car around 2:00, we drove Paulo and His friend home. Erica went to talk to Paulo for a bit, and I was going to wait in the car but Erica and I thought it best I wait outside in the cool air. So I sat down outside a storefront and laid down for a little bit lol Nothing like being drunk on a roadside in Italy haha. Erica came back 20 minutes later, and helped me get up an into the car. We came back here and went straight to bed lol. And today I got up, had lunch and here I am! We might be going back up to the festival tonight, and it's Paulo's turn to drive and Erica gets to drink lol. I think I'll cut back tonight and give my body a rest lol
Thanks all for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you :)
I must start to keep more on top of these updates. When I don't I start to lose track of what I did.
I'll Start at last Thursday when I went out with Erica to her Geology class gathering at a resturant in Torino. It was pretty fun, Hung out with Erica, Loretta, Allessandro and Umberto. I also ment a few people there who are from Romania and who speak English as well. The person who stood out was Nadia, who came up to me, introduced herself, started chatting and then eventually gave me her e-mail address which was pretty awesome. So through out the night she was quite nice of me, translating certian things and sharing some stories. She is from Romania and is going back on the 25th. She, Like me came into Italy speaking mainly Romanian and English. Her English is better then her Italian, so it was quite easy to speak with her! (She was cute too by the way! ;) ) After the dinner we went to a club, then after awhile went back home.
Friday night Erica went to Gattinara and I went to Jiu-Jitsu. I joined her saturday morning. She worked on stuff for the day, we had a nice supper then went out with Vanya, Andrea, Enrica, and Debi to a pub and a club. It was a good time!
Sunday was pretty quiet again, Erica did some work, then went out with Paulo for a bit. We had a nice lunch and Dinner as usuall. Monday we went back at 6:40 in the morning because Erica had to pass some stuff in. I went back to the apartment, did some laundry and went to sleep. Afterwards I went and visted Erica at her school work place, then Hung out the rest of the day. Erica had Paulo over for the night.
Tuesday, was rather uneventful, Erica went to her work place. I Visited her later on in the day and walked home with her. She went to Stephano's for the night. Wednesday, Erica came with me to Jiu-Jitsu. She took some pictures and such which was nice. I had a really good night at Jiu-Jitsu. Did really well. Afterwards, she left to go meet up with Stephano and I went with the guys to a Pizza place for Freddy's (Our Instructor) Birthday. I had a Margarhita Pizza with Bierre then a glass of Mirto afterwards. After that, Stephano and Big Allessandro drove me to Piazza Vittorio so I could meet up with Erica. There was this Notte Bianca (White Night) event celebrating the FIAT Cinque Cento. The first car FIAT produced and now made a new anniversary model. A white night event means that there are many shops open until 5am and free food and fireworks and all that. It was kinda cool.
Saturday we came here to Gattinara around 7:50am. When we got here, we had somethign to eat, hung around for a bit. I then went with Erica's Dad to the Valsesia river for some Kayaking. He took me to the Alta Valsesia first (The upper Valley) so I could see Mount Rosa. At about 4400 meters tall, what a sight it was. We then got to a decent part of the river (There was a bad winter with little snow so by now it all melted and there is little water in the river) This was the second time I have ever Kayaked (The first being a few weeks ago) so the river was quite a challange. We started out by going upstream so I could get used to the river. After going around in circles for awhile and tipping over twice, I manage to keep straight for about 30 seconds. Erica's Dad then askes me if I wanted to do some small rapids. I reluctantly agreed so we headed up river on foot to a small area of Rapids. Despite my concerns I made it over them flawlesly! Go Me! lol, so then he asked if I want to do it again a bit further up. I say, ok, so we do. I made the first two rapids ok, but on the third *plop* In I went lol. I clung to my Kayak and chasd my paddle through the rapids before catching it in the calm part. He then said we might as well do the rapids further downstream before going home so I said ok. After draining my Kayak for the 3rd time we set out. I made it over the big rapids and past some of the big boulders pretty well. But in the middle of the rapids I went sideways, hit a rock and went under. I got out of the Kayak, surfaced, and clung on for dear life, ignorign the paddle because I was being battered against the rocks and couldn't get to it. After getting beat up by the rocks lol, Erica's dad gets my paddle, and hands it to me. We then get out and head back.
We stopped at this Bar in the Valley
for some lunch. We got a HUGE salame and Cheese sandwich. I mean there was like half a block of Toma Cheese on this Sandwhich and it Had to weigh like a pound and a half lol. We also had a Grande bierre and some coffee. We got back, and Erica was gone out so I sat around and read, and had a little nap since I slept 1.5 hours the night before and went Kayaking. She got back around 7:00ish, we had supper later on then went out for Gellato and walked around the town :)
Today Erica took me to the village of Orta on Lake Orta (The first plce I wen Kayaking). It was a beautiful place. We walked around a bit, went up to the holy mountin to look at the chapels of St. Francis. (It rained a bit but was still ok) Then when we went to leave because the parking was up, the sun started coming out. lol. We too ka longer way home, trhough Borgosesia so Erica could show me some sights. When we got back to Gattinara she took me up to the tower that overlooks the town. Quite a sight. We then came back, had Gellato as the usually sunday routine, then waited around for supper. And now here I am!
I will do my best to update more often so you don't have to read such a long post. Thankyou for everyone who keeps up with my posts and comments on them! Love you all!

Geez, I have to keep up on my updates lol, otherwise I'm stuck with over a weeks worth of stuff to write and I can't remember everything, so here goes my best shot!

I'll start with last Wednesday. I had Jiu-Jitsu class in the evening and we had a guest Instructor. Master Ratinho who is a 5th degree black belt in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. That is pretty insane and quite rare! It was an awesome class and I leared quite a bit. On Friday Erica and I took the afternoon train to Gattinara. We had a lovely supper of bread and cheese and prociutto and Soup and fish (Erica's mom made some beef for me because she knows I don't eat fish. That was awfully nice of her).
Saturday Morning Erica's Dad took me Kayaking on a lake close to the Valsesia Valley. This lake was absolutly beautiful! Completly surrounded by mountains with some villages settled along them and there are no rivers feeding into the lake at all. It is fed soely through underground springs! So, this being my first time Kayaing it took me quite awhile to get used to how the kayak moves, but I started getting the hang of it. I'll need a few more trips before I'm ready to do on the Valsesia river.
After Kayaking, Erica's dad took me to this place for lunch. He asked me "Do you like Salami, and Bread, and Cheese, and Beer?" (Asking in a sarcastic tone because he knows I love those foods) and I was like "Of course!" (Thinking to myself [those are like my primary Italian food groups lol]) So we had a very delicious Salami and Cheese Panina (Sandwich) and a Grandé Beirre (Beer). After a very scrumptious lunch and a Café (Coffee) to top it all off, we went for a drive over the mountains into the Valsesia valley (Stopping at various points along the way so he could show me some amazing rivers and waterfall areas). We eventually got back home, I hung around a bit, Erica did schoolwork then we had dinner. Some very nice Soup (And bread and cheese as always) and this extra juicy tender rosted meat (Veal perhaps?) It was very delicious as always. After dinner, Erica and I took a walk for some Gelato. It was nice out and As Always Gattinara is such a lovely little village.
Sunday was rather uneventful (Aside from the very tasty lunch of Pasta and Beef and a lovely supper of soup and meats, and of course some of my favorites: Bread and cheeses!)
Monday Erica made us some pasta and meat for lunch, and then I took a train back to Torino for Jiu-Jitsu. It was a good class, Freddy worked u sto the bone. I was quite sore lol. Erica got home shortly after I did.
Tuesday I went for a walk around 9:30 to meet with Monica to collect my pay then to the bookstore as my usual early week ritual. hen I came back here and chilled. On Wednesday I was getting ready for Jiu-Jistu and Erica comes home soaked because it just started pouring outside. Then all of a sunnder we hear tiny smacks on the windows. We look out and sure enough these marble sized pieces of Hail were coming down hard! Then there were some cracks and pops as these huge gravel sized chunks started coming down. So there was now way I was going outside in this stuff. It could kill me! So I wated, then the hail stopped, then the rain stopped, and I decided it would be better to go late then not at all so I head out (It's sunny at this point by the way. The weather here is insane!) So I head down to the bustop and traffic is at a standstill. The streets are flooded with about 10 plus centameters of water, so I head back home.
Friday I had Jiu-Jitsu. It was a No Gi class, so I was totally in my elemant!! I was controlling the blue belts, and even guys who outweighed me by alot. I guess my Greco-Roman wrestling really makes my Jiu-Jitsu look good when I am not wearing the Gi!
Today Erica, Stephano and I went for a walk to Valentino park to see this skateboard/Snowboard/Bmx extreme sports thingy. It was kinda cool. And that brings us up to date! I hope I didn't forget anything.
Thanks again for reading and I'll talk to you soon! :)
So! Saturday morning I left with my instructor and severel other classmates from the Grace Barra Jiu-Jitsu Acadamy on a trip to Rome for a Jiu-Jitsu tournament the next day. With some stops the total trip was about 7.5 hours, but what a beautiful drive it was... We drove through The Toscana (Tuscany) region in Italy, through Firenze (Florence) and my what an amazing drive. It is definatly one of the most beautiful places in the world. We arrived at Freddy's (My instructor) sister's place outside of Rome. He stayed there while we all stayed at his other sister's place just up the road. She took me and the guys for a walk into the center of their small town. It was alot like Urbino with it's central Italian Medieval structure and old old buildings. Twas very nice. We had some Gelato there (Surprise surprise eh lol). After we went back, all took showers then Freddy came and got us and we went to a local resturant for dinner.

I thought we were just having Pizza (The way Pizaa is serve here in Italy typically is you get a whole pizaa to yourself. it's thin and about 12 Inches in size and very yummy) but before I knew it there were plates of Prociutto, breaded appitizers stuffed with rice and meats and cheese, frocacia, wine, beer etc. After that, then the Pizza's came lol, By the end of it I was stuffed. Salvatorre then ordered these drinks for us, it was like a thick purple liquor that reminded me of the taste of Genepi. It was good. Afterwards we left then went to bed.
Sunday morning Freddy came and got us and we proceeded to the Tournament site in the Center of Rome. Little did I know Freddy had something planned. We got out of the van and looked around at all the prettiness lol, took a picture then Freddy asked me "Matieu, do you know Piazza San Pietro?" (St. Peter's Square) and I was like "Of course I do!", then he said "Well it is right around the corner and I am taking you all there for a few minutes". I stood their stunned, not knowing that I would get to see any of what Rome had to offer, and just realizing that the two nice huge buldings I was looking at were actually bordering the Entrance to Vatican City. As we rounded the corner and started down the main road leading to the square I started getting goosebumps (I'm not a very religious person, but the sheer awe of this building took my breath away). There staring me in the face at the end of the road was St. Peter's Basilica. We proceeded to the square (After stopping for crossants and coffee lol) and took pictures.
You see it in movies, and on TV and in books, but there is nothing like seeing it on a sunny morning around 9:30am with your own two eyes. This is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world!
After sime picture taking and some Video shot by Freddy (I hope to get a copy soon) we headed to the Tournament. It was nice, but warm in the building. I did all the Video taping for the group, which was cool. After that we left and headed back home. Now, here comes something cool! How many people can say they had Breakfast in Vatican City, Lunch in Rome and Dinner in Tuscany lol, it's pretty amazing! haha, we stopped for Dinner just outside of Florence, then headed the rest of the way back.
Monday I did some errands, went to Jiu-Jitsu, nothing to big. Same for tuesday without the Jiu-Jitsu and the exact same for today as monday pretty much haha (Except class was taught by a Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Master blackbelt from Rome which was pretty amazing)
So Now you are all caught up to date :) I hope you enjoyed my story, and if you want to see the rest of the pics, they are on my Facebook!! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=28330&l=ea8a0&id=509405264
Ciao for now and thanks for reading as always!!
Heya! Nothing of substance here, just wanted to let you all know that I will be going to Rome tomorrow with the Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu acadamy. We're going for a huge tournament on sunday so it should be pretty fun! I'll update when I return!!

Since I updated on sunday there isn't much to add. Yesterday I went to the bookstore and Got a new book Titled "Priestess of the White" It's the first in a series. It's pretty good, it's about Magic and such. It's written well. You might like it Jasmine. Last night I started Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu with the Gracie Barra team here in Torino. My instructor is BJJ Purple Belt Fredrico (Freddy) Linhares. (He speaks Portugese, Italian and English lol). The class structure is quite laid back which I really like and the instruction is very good. We train every monday, wednesday and friday. Other than that not much else is going on. Here is a funny Video!

Talk to you soon! Ciao!
Hey! I havent update in while because not much has been going on worth an update. So I'll just talk about the interesting stuff. Last Saturday I went to the mountain village of Bardonnecia (Where alot of the Olyimpic Snowboarding and skiing events took place in 2006) with Erica's parents to see Erica in a dance show. The show was full of people all ages and included ballet, other dance, and Arabian bellydance (What Erica does). It was pretty cool. After that we went to Gattinara for the night.

During the day we had a nice lunch again with Her Uncle and cousin. We had yummy Penne pasta to start off with, then we had Roast Rabbit and a Zucchni dish (yummalicios) then for Desert her Uncle brougt another one of those Tiramisu Icecream cakes! (I almost died lol) Her dad asked me to cut it and serve it up so I did. Then they gave me a second piece, then when there was once piece left her Dad put it on my plate even when I said I was full lol (I didn't complain though). In the evening we caught the train back to Torino.
Monday I started work. I'm working with a nanny and helping take care of a 1 year old for a local Laywer. My main job is to play with him and speak English. I worked everyday until Friday, it was pretty good. Yesterday I spent most of the day in bed sick with a cold I believe I caught from Leopoldo (The One year old). I rested the best I could so I would be ok to go to Caluso with Erica and Stephano for Allessandro's birthday dinner. There were 30 of us in the resturant. I had a Pizza with Sausage, Wurstle, Prochiutto (ham) and Bacon. It was very Yummy. There was nice wine and then a nice fruit champange served with a really yummy cake! After dinner (About 12:00) we went to another town about 20 minutes away to a birrera/pub to have some drinks (My head was pretty stuffy as the cold was still with me) Around 2:30ish we left, and got back here around 3:30ish.
Today I spent most of the day in bed again resting off this bloody cold. I make myself supper around 7:00, and started to feel better after that. Then around 10:00 I called Fredrico Linhares (Instructor at the Grace Barra (Pronounced Baha) Jiu-Jitsu acadamy here in Torino) and I start training with them Tomorrow night which is cool! And that pretty much brings things up to speed! I won't be online till around this time-ish on tuesday night since Erica is going to the lab in Cuneo until then and taking the computer with her I assume. Thank you all for reading and I hope to have another update soon!
Ciao Ciao! Miss you all!
So, here is the update for my trip to Urbino :)
On Tuesday, Erica and I woke up around 5:00 am and got ready to catch the 6:20 train to Pesaro. 7 hours later we arrive in Pesaro and catch a 45 minute bus ride to Urbino. When we got into Urbino we were pretty tired (The whole city is one giant hill) so we dragged ourselves to the Bed and Breakfast where we were staying and had a little nap. After the nap we went out exploring the city. We had some Gelatto on our way around (yummy as always) and were just enjoying the amazing city. We went back to the Bed and Breakfast and rested somemore until about 8:15 where we then went out to this lovely ristorente for a dinner to celebrate our visit. I had this roast veal with golden potatos (Spectaculair!). For desert we shared this thing (I forget the name) but it was pastry balls filled with chocolate and covered in the thick vanilla cream with chocolate sauce (Droool). After dinner we walked around and saw the sights then headed back to the B&B for a well deserved nights sleep.
On Wendesday We woke up around 8:00. Erica had to go to the university to do the work she came to Urbino to do, so one she left I fell back asleep lol. I woke up around 11:30, got ready and headed out to explore the city on my own! I went to some shops, bought a few litle things, and just walked around. I eventually discovered the Fortress way up at the top of the city so I decided to go up. When I reached the top I was greeted by one of the most amazing sights I have ever laid eyes apon: http://pics.livejournal.com/mathius15/pic/00008wwd/s320x240
I took that picture and a few more then went back down to eat and get my book. I then went back up the crazy hill and sat down on the soft grass and read my book with that beautiful view in front of me. I came back down just as Erica called me to say she was back. She unpacked and I took her up to the fortress and showed her the sights! At that time were were joined by this cute random puppy that belonged to a woman walking around. (See face book for more photos). We went back down and went to a Pizza place for supper (Italian Pizza rocks!) then had some Gelatto afterwards. After more walking and such we went back to the B&B for some sleep.

On Thursday the same sort of thing went down as on wednesday. Erica left, I slept more, went out to do some errands and buy some things, then it started to rain so I went back and spend most of the afternoon reading. Erica came back (By this time it was sunny again) and we went to the market and bought some things to cook for supper (And had some Gelatton on the way lol). Erica told me that she didn't have to go to the university on friday so we decided to save money and leave a day early (even though we really didn't want to). When we got back we made a lovely supper of Penne Pasta, Roasted veggies and Porkchops. After supper we went out and walked around. We sat at an outdoor cafe and had a glass of Green Apple Grappa (A local Alcohol). After Grappa we went and had yet more Gelatto lol, and walked around alot more, exploring every crevice of this spectacular medieval town. Around 1:00 we went back to the B&B, watched a movie and then went to bed. Friday we got up around 10:00 and packed and such then went out in the city. We visted some shops that I had visited a few times but Erica didn't have the chance to. Especially this cute little shop full of Handmade crafts and such. The we went to the Fortress one last time and sat for awhile and enjoyed the view. We then went to the Pizza shop, got some lunch and sat on the wall overlooking the city and ate. After that we got our stuff, caught a bust at 1:50, got to Pesaro and caught the 3:20 Train back to Torino. We got back around 10:00pm, came back had a snack and pretty much went right to bed.
Saturday was pretty uneventful as Erica went to Dance class and I hung around here. She came back with hStephano, they hung out. I read and was on the computer. They went to bed, I watched some L-Word on the comp then went to ed around 3:00.
Today was eve more uneventful as Erica and Stephano studied and spent their time in the kitchen while I practically read all day, and now here I am.
I hope you all enjoyed reading my blog, I enjoy writing it for you. Here are the links to my Urbino photos for those who do not have Facebook!

Friday I went out in the morning to run a few errands. I came back to the apartment to get some lunch and relax for a bit. I turned on the TV to MTV Italy, and notice that there was this Total Request Live thing on. (MTV's equivilant to Much On Demand) I then noticed that they were live from Piazza Vittorio here in Torino so I decided to take a walk down there and check it out. Sure enough there they were with a whole crowd of people, big screens playing the videos and everything, it was pretty cool, I got to be on TV and got some free stuff out of it too. After that I came back to the apartment and relaxed for a bit and cooked something to eat. Later on Fabio had some friends over and they cooked supper so they asked me to join them and I did. Twas goodtimes. Around 9:20 I got ready and left to meet Erica at the train station in where we were catching a train to Gattinara (Erica was away all day at the lab). We got to Gattinara, relaxed for a bit then went to bed.
On Saturday We got up, had some breakfast and went out to run some errands. We got back, relaxed, chatted, had some lunch, then Erica did Thesis work and I chatted on the computer. In the evening Erica and I looked up various flights for different things as well as a place to stay in Urubino(More on that in a bit).
On Sunday Erica was up working on her Belly Dancing costume when I got up. I watched her for a bit, then waited around until her Uncle and cousin came for lunch. Lunch was a big as any dinner I have ever had lol, there was Bread and cheese and Pasta and Roasted Lamb and Wine and Tiramisu Icecream Cake (Droooool). Utterly fantastic. After lunch Erica and I booked a room at a Bed and Breakfast in Urubino for four nights where we will be going from tomorrow to sunday (Erica has work to do down there). It's a beautiful rustic city in Central Italy and we're both looking forward to it. After all that we took the train back to Torino. Erica went to dance class, I stayed around here until she got back. We did some laundry and went to bed.
As for today nothing to much is going on. I'm not sure if I will have much internet access in Urubino so If I'm not talking to you all until saturday, have a great week!! And thanks for reading!
Ok, so when was the last time I updated? Saturday I think.

Ok, I'll start with sunday.
Sunday, Erica, Stephano and I went to Valentino park. On the way we stopped for Gelato, then proceeded. It was very beautiful. It lies alongside the Po River which is the main river running through Torino. As you can see from my previous post I got some nice pictures. It was a nice day, sunny for most part but no to to warm. Monday Erica and I went around the city running some errands. It was nice and sunny, and a tad warm outside. I can't remember what we did monday night lol.
On tuesday Erica went to school to do labwork and I walked around the city myself. I went and took some lovely pictures at Piazza Costello (Which I will post here soon. They are already up on Facebook). After a very long walk around the city I met up with Erica at her school and there I met Loretta and Valentina (Loretta I have been talking to Online Since the fall so it was nice to finaly meet her). After that Erica and I came back here and relaxed.
Yesterday Erica was at school again doing labwork so I took it apon myself again to walk around. It was super hot outside, about 32 degrees in the city centre. I went to Erica's school to talk with her about something, then went to Piazza San Carlo to check a bank so see if they would cach my traveller's check. They wouldn't. So I walked around for a bit more exploring, then decided to find the grocery store Erica usually goes to. After an hour of walking I founf out it was closed so that it why I couldn't find it. I go back to Erica's school and we leave for home. Erica then went to Dance class around 6:30 and I made some dinner. She got back and we sat around for awhile then got ready to go to Valentina's for dinner around 11:00. We had tomato pasta and Strawberries and Gelato for desert (Yummmmmy). We then went out to the Murazzi by Piazza Vittorio (very beautiful place) with Valentina and her friend, Umberto and His friend and Stephano and looked for a club. It being wednesday night there was only one open and It was crappy so we didn't stay long. We got home around 4:00am and before I got to bed Erica says "Oh by the way, Valentina is coming to get you at 10:00 tomorrow" lol, so I went right to bed and set my Alarm for 9:30.
Today I wake up at 10:30 to the sound of the door buzzer. Apparently my Alarm didn't go off and Valentina was downstairs waiting for me. So I jumped out of bed, but clothers on, washed up and brushed my teeth quickly then went down to meet her. Valentina and I went all over the city doing some errands, looking for places and seeing the sights. We walked for hours in the beating sun lol but it was fun. We found a bank that would cash my Traveller's checks so that was good. After some long walking and 3 bus rides (One was the wrong bus haha) we arrived back in the city Centre, got some Gelato, walked around and then came back. I got back here around 3:30 and am quite tired lol. So that is pretty much everything up to now. I hope to have some new pics up for you all soon.
HEy, I don't feel like doing a full update. I just wanted to tell people that I have some new photos I took today on Facebook. I took them today At Valentino Park here in Torino. I can't post any here without paying for an account so just go to facebook or ask me personally and I'll send them to you.

Today was a good day :) Tis afternoon while Erica was at dance class I headed out into the city on my own! It was fun! I went to a few stores, picked up some food like pasta and sauce and biscuits, and also some Wine and Genepi yummmm! (A few fun facts about Italy. 1: There are little drinking laws so you can buy Liquor in a grocery store and even take it out on the street and walk and drink. 2: Liquor is cheap! I bought a litre bottle of wine and a litre bottle of Genepi for less than 10 Euros total!! The wine was like 2 and the Genepi about 7.) After that I found a store that sold only lamps so I bought a little table lamp for my room. After that I just walked around for ahilw enjoying the sites that Torino had to offer. After about 2-2.5 hours of Walking I came back here and Erica arrived shortly after. Stephania was over visiting with Luka (I haven't gone to bed yet so I don't know if she stayed here yet). I gave Luka and Stephania some souveniers I brought from Canada.(I almost forgot I had them) I brought 5 Canada pins and 5 Nova Scotia Keychains 1 of each for the 3 roomates, one each for Loretta (Erica's friend I talked to online a few months before coming here) and 1 of each extra(The extra went to Stephania since she has been so nice to me.) After that Stephano showed up and drove Erica and I to a supermarket to get a few things. We picked up some groceries, I got some bedsheets, and then we got some beer. We came back and made some supper. After a supper of Pasta with meatsauce and some yummy cookies with milk, The three of us set of into the city centre to meet up wit hStephan's friends then we all went to a pub. After a nice refreshing stout, we walked around for a bit and they showed me some beautiful sites including the main Piazza (Square) in Torino called Piazza Costello. There is a mansion and a castle in the piazza!! (That excited me). After walking for a bit we came back, Erica and I had some Nutella and Biscuits and some cookies and milk. Erica and Stephano went off to bed and here I sit, soon to go to bed myself. So for now I bit you all goodday and I will talk to you soon! Thanks for reading!

Wesdnesday night I had a nice convorsation with Luka, Fabio and their friend Stephania. Stephania understands english but has a limited vocabulary so she would speak to me in French )Which to my surprise I understood more than I thought) and I would reply in either french or english. We had some Italian lessons in there too so it was fun. Yesterday Erica and I went out shopping. I got a cellphone to use here (+011393472733662) International texts from Canada cost about 20c so people can reach me that way if needed :) After the cellphone we went around to various places here in Torino, went to the job centre to talk about my work. Things are going well there. After that we came back, hhad some supper, then sat around. Erica worked on her Thesis and I read. Today I got up around 8:00 and Giulia and I set out in the rain to print some documents off and drop them off to the job centre. It was super rainy, but Giulia and I shared an umbrella so we didn't get terribly wet. After that I came back here (Erica was gone all day working in a lab) made some lunch, read a bit and talked to Luka and Giulia when they were here. And now I'm just on the computer updating. Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you all soon. Ciao
SO I made it to Gattinara monday night. It was rainy. Erica and her parents picked me up at the airport In Torino. Erica was excited to see me as I was to see her. She got all teary eyed like she does, so cute! We got back to her place, had a snack, chatted for a bit then went to bed. Tuesday morning (well I should say afternoon) I woke up at 3:00pm. I told then to wake me up earlier but they wanted me to sleep lol. Tuesday was sunny. Erica took me on a tour of her village of Gattinara. A very beautiful place. We went for Gelatto and saw the sights, then went back to her place for a bit and did some planning for our Istanbul trip in August. Then we had dinner (her mom is an excellent cook by the way) and afterwards hung around for a bit until her friends Erika, Paulo, Vanya and Vanya's boyfriend arrived. We went out with them for more Gelatto lol then went to a pub. After that we went back to her place and went to bed. Tis morning we were up around 7:00ish and got ready to come here to Torino. It was quite rainy when we got the bus to the train station. We got into Torino around 10ish, and made our way to the apartment. After that we went to her University to meet her friend Allesandro and they had to do some school stuff. After that we came back, had lunch, I went for a nap and Erica went to her French class. When I woke up I ment her roomate Fabio, read a little, then Erica came back for a bit. Guilia arrived (Another roomate) and Erica left for her Dance class. Guilia and I talked for awhile about different stuff including where we were from and lingustical things. And now I am here alone for the time being. Fabio and Guilia went to eat then Guilia is going to Dance class and Erica will be back here a little after 8:00. So for now I shall bid you gooday and keep reading these blogs for it is the best way to know how things are going :) Also, e-mail and responding to these blogs is the best way to get ahold of me due to the 5 hour time difference!

Hi everyone! So far so good, I'm here at Heathrow airport in London wating until I have to go to Stanstead airport to catch my flight to Torino. That flight leaves at 7:20 London time (3:20 NS time) and arrives at 10:20 Italian time (5:20 NS time). Heathrow is pretty boring. For being such a huge international airport it doesn't have as much in it as one would assume. Can't even seem to find a bloody souviner shop. Anywhoo just wanted to let you all know that I'm safe and I will update my LJ as often as possible :) My next update will be from Italy!!
